John 9: 1-41  Like the blind man in this chapter we too are blind to spiritual truths until we are touched by the Savior's healing hand. Then we should want our loved ones, neighbors,  anyone and everyone to see also.

God is rich in mercy.  He paid for our salvation.  He is willing to give us a new birth into His family.  He becomes our Father.  We will always be His child then.  As a father watches over his child, our heavenly Father watches over us and He pities us.  He's waiting to welcome us home.

God has carefully packed the Word of God so that we can land safely in the event of a misfortune.  His Word provides truths that, when applied, will see us through.

How do we know what God is up to?  We know His heart.  He gave His only Son.  In eternity we may very well find loss to be gain.

Are you persuaded that He is able?  Beyond a song that points out Christ's miracles, the Word provides testimony in prophecies fulfilled.  What a privilege to rest in His finished work and not our own efforts.

Isn't there a lot of satisfaction in checking off something that's gotten done from a to-do-list?  Directed by God, Paul presents a list for us to work on that has both earthly and eternal benefit.  Let's get to work!

Damage control is important in every aspect of life.  If we are serious about our walk with the Lord, we'll often inspect these areas: false doctrine, laziness, emptiness, thoughts, hurts, disobedience, and speech for potential cracks.

Acts 19:11-16  Jesus said He was the light of the world. Light can keep us from pitfalls.  Like the seven sons of Sceva, there are shysters in our world as well.  Let God's Word lead you.  Let's be light for others.

John 6:54-70 Does my walk in the realm of Christianity satisfy my experience while I shun the expectation of Jesus?  Am I just looking for excitement?  Eternal life may hang on the answer.

The compassionate centurion sought out the compassionate Savior.  The Roman soldier had concern for his servant and certainty of Jesus' power.  Jesus's comment showed He marveled at the centurion's great faith.  Let's ask the Compassionate Savior how He'd have us show compassion to others.
